Africa Reframed: Modetalk i Øksnehallen

Jeg har vedholdende fulgt afrikansk mode gennem de sidste 10 år. Jeg har på gaden stoppet et utal af smukke mennesker med fed stil, og jeg har gennemtrawlet butikker i Dar es Salaam, Nairobi, Johannesburg og Kampala for design og håndværk. Jeg vil ikke påstå, at jeg er blevet klog på hvad moden er, min indgang er nok mest en stor nysgerrighed på tendenserne, identitet og hvordan gamle traditioner gives nye snit.

 

18.6., kl. 12:30 i Øksnehallen modererer jeg så en samtale mellem modedesigneren Christine Mhando og den kreative konsulent Arieta Mujay, som vil fortælle om den eksplosive vækst afrikansk mode oplever lige nu. Se mere her.
