From my Notebook: Dar es Salaam 30 May 2012

Had my daily dose of Bongo contrasts:

Gave the guy, who has contracted himself to regularly wash my car in Mkwepu Street, a note enough for many meals;

Then - in some sort of karma return - I myself got invited for late family lunch in Mosque Street 20 minutes later.

I also observed a Japanese girl requesting a haircut 'like the one in the picture on my Ipad' while 15 minutes later passing a witch doctor fully geared for practice.

Please, stop saying Tanzania is easy to write home about.
