I am self-taught, prefer natural light, and to work outside.

Since 2010 I worked with a Nikon 5000D - and often with a 55-200 mm objective. I have to admit though that I'm also very happy with my mobile phone (currently a Huawei P20) which I use extensively and often as a substitute for the big camera.

To me it is not about equipment or technique. Rather, I run on a high level of imagination, strong passion for communicating my impressions visually, urge to engage with people, travelling far and not always with a stringent plan. Thus, I prefer to carry as little equipment as possible.

I discovered photography when I was 13, and have occupied dark rooms at my primary school, high school and college, developing my own photos. Photography has been part of my work for many years, and hence closely connected to activism, expression, development and long-distance road trips in rural Africa.

I have experience from the Balkans, Uganda, South Sudan, Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania. From working with refugees, development workers, politicians, activists, musicians and fashion designers.

There is beauty in any person, and in what others leave behind. It is to me about personality, light, composition, colour, context, message, expression, textual and graphic details.

If you are interested in buying my photos I sell from my archive or take assignments if they fit my competences.

Please, note that not all photos displayed online are for sale. Some few are not available in high-resolution.
